I have a dell that had media center on it.  I reformatted it and put on windows xp.  Under device manager, it says the driver is loaded but when you go into the speaker icon in control panel it says there is no audio device...even though there is?  Any ideas?  faulty driver?

Go to the Dell website and look up the sound drivers for your particular Dell model and then download and install them.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

uuhhmmm....right. If the audio card is integrated, you want to make sure you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard. You might need to install the latest audio drivers again afterwards. If still no sound, check volume and mute settings, and test your speakers as well. But it's most likely the chipset drivers you need.
