created several folders on the webserver on a "hidden" adress ex and use directory browsing ...

Also created users on the domain with different rights to different folders, so they are able to log in and see this folders.... But now I want to hide a folder and/or a document for a certain user, is it possible? As it is now, the folder/doc is visible for the user....

Possible or not possible?

    hi Handersson

if you give Directory browsing to that specific Virtual Directory, you cannot hide a subfolder in it nor a document. but you can restrict access on file or folder permissions even you can deny a specific user to access to that file or folder.

For hiding, i can offer you enabling FTP service on your webserver. so that you can set home folders for the users. no other user can see any file except in his/her home folder and disabling anonymous access to ftp site. users don't have to have have an ftp client. just use internet explorer address bar   it will ask for user name and password right away.

if you have any help for ftp just let me know
