When users with Exchange View-Only rights on their Admin Group attempt to view the properties of a Public Folder in Exchange System Manager, they encounter a LDAP Provider error (error ID number 80072030) and are not able to view any information on the instance. - An error dialog will appear with the text "There is no such object on the server", Facility: LDAP Provider, ID no: 80072030, Exchange System Manager.

This error does not occur when the user is granted Exchange Administrator or
Exchange Full Administrator over their Administrative Group.

RESOLUTION:

- The following rights can be delegated within Active Directory to resolve the
error:

1) DN: CN=Folder Hierarchies,CN=<name of admin group>CN=Administrative
Groups,CN=<name of exchange org>,CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=<domain name>,DC=<com, mil, whatever>

Permissions:  Allow "List Contents", "Read All Properties", "Read Permissions"
rights applied to "This object and all child objects"

2) DN: CN=Public Folders,CN=Folder Hierarchies,CN=<name of admin
group>,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=<name of exchange org>,CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=<domain name>,,DC=<com, mil, whatever>

Permissions:  Allow "View Information Store Status" right applied to "This object only"
Hope this helps ….
