Database Vendor Code: 904

I can run this report from CR XI but when I try to run from BO XI Enterprise I get the following error:

Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 904 ] Failed to retrieve data from the database. Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\hsg-boxi\LOCALS~1\Temp\{EE917AA0-43D7-4BC4-B56D-FF4A67207319}.rpt: Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 904 ]

I've changed DB drivers, and verified the DB afterwards.

I'm trying to run against an Oracle 9i DB and I'm using the ODBC (RDO) driver and I've tried the oracle driver. When changing to the oracle driver, the error message changes a little but it's essentially the same.

Make sure that you have all the correct permission set.  This is the common problem. Are you using it through any semantic layer?

How is database authentication done?

Does your application pass the userid and password?

Good point mlmcc.  If you are using Enterprise, did you set up the database portion of the CMC correctly?  Does the report run fine from the local machine?

Yes, the report runs finr from the local machine.  CE prompts the users for logon info.  It appears to be authenticating but after ht eparameter prompts it craps out.

The server admin was using the CR Oracle Driver for the DSN entry.  Changed it to Oracle's ODBC driver and changed the report driver to ODBC and worked.
