Message tracking not getting subject....

Hi,

I just turned on message tracking to troubleshoot an issue with our email filter software (SurfControl SMTP Filter), and in .log files, I'm not getting anything in the Subject field.  Is this normal?  How can I get it to record the subject too?  It used to work fine on our Exchange 2000 server, but this is the first time I've used it on our new Exchange 2003 server.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

In the same place that you enable message tracking.

ESM, Servers. Right click on your server and choose Properties. There are the options for message tracking, including the option to record subject lines.
I find ESM isn't as easy to use without the subject lines option enabled.

If you track a message in the message tracking center in the exchange system manager, do you see the subject there?

you would be able to track only those messages that are sent/received after tracking has been enabled

Message tracking doesn't track the subject unless you enable the option in ESM.

I apologize for my lack of response.  Other issues came up that took priority.  I still would like to know how to do this.  In Exchange 2000, it tracked the subject.  Sembee said you have to enable that option in ESM.  Could someone tell me where in ESM you so this?  Thanks!
