Exchange 5.5
Hi All,
I have a user who roams and has multiple pc's/pdas were they collect there email, at the moment i bounce all the email for this user back out of the exchange server and into pop3 accounts so they their email at all the locations.
Would it be simplier to grant pop3 access to this mailbox and have my user conneect via pop3 or would this way draw all the emial out of the mailbox to a pst file at one location therefore the email would not appear at any other location, if that makes any sense?
Cheers

so what i am trying to do is possible then on EXK 5.5?
Would i simply enable POP3 on the users mailbox and allow traffic on port 110 through my firewall?

Yes, POP3 access is possible in Exchange 5.5 and you need to open port 110 through your firewall.

Thanks Amit, the points are yours,
in you r opinion would i be opening up any security risks by forwarding poprt 110 to my exhcange server

In case, you chose to move the mails, all mails from Exchange server will be deleted and would not appear at anyother location. but, if you chose to copy the mails (keep the copy at Exchange server), it will leave a copy on Exchange and then will be available from other location also.
