DVD Player not responding

I made a mistake and accidentally dragged my Applications folder to the Trash and then emptied the trash.  A few applications we deleted but I was able to reinstall them.  I am afraid I may have reinstalled something that I should not have because now when I try to start up the DVD Player, it starts but then almost instantly fails.  I would like to remove the DVD Player and reinstall it but I am not sure how to do this.  Any suggestions would be great.  Thanks.

The only way I know to fix DVD player is to reinstall the system software. If you only deleted the application from the application folder, then you could see if someone else has a version you could copy from their application folder.
