Thank you morehouselondon! It was indeed a permissions issue. &nbsp;We run IMAP off of Cyrus (on an Apple XServe). &nbsp;There was an issue with permissions on a couple of files used to cache mail. &nbsp;We updated permissions, and ran a reconstruct command to fix the problem.

I am trying to resolve why one of my end users is unable to purge his deleted messages on our IMAP server. &nbsp;He receives a System I/O Error when he either tries to use the Purge Deleted Messages command in Outlook, or if he tries the Expunge command off of our server through webmail (we are using SquirrelMail). &nbsp;I've searched for information on the error on SquirrelMail's site - but cannot find anything. &nbsp;Please help! &nbsp;I am new to working with IMAP servers.
