In Outlook 2003, when i start to type the recipient of an email i get the usual drop down list of previous contacts i have sent emails to. is there a way to clear this remembered list, either removing a cached file or clear settings button, without clearing the profile?.

    Greetings, aruphelp !

The list is compose of Contacts list and typed in email addresses.  You cannot delete the Contacts list, but you can delete the typed in email addresses.  Do a search for and rename *.NK2 file.  The names are kept in a NK2 file.  Search for *.NK2 and rename the file.  .NK2 file is located in
    C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder.

It is a hidden file. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders".  Click OK.

    Best wishes!
