Http printer connection
Hi,
I have an application which sits on the network and converts documents to PDF format and stores them.
It is available to end users as a printer and uses a CUPS driver.
I've built an msi for the CUPS driver and can manually install the printer.
However, I need to roll it out to every station across the WAN!
I've tried doing numerous scripts to install the printer but they all use the \\server\printer convention.
This piece of kit only works using the "http://server:port/printers/printername" method.
And even though the CUPS driver is installed it still asks for a driver and has to be directed to the driver location.
Anyone know how I can automate this?
Regards,
Saeed.
