Hi there, you might just need to reconfigure the lenght of time that outlook checks for mail. From outlook 2000, click on 'tools' and then select 'options'. Click now on the 'Mail Delivery' tab and have a look at the 'Mail Account Options' settings half way down the window. From here, change the 'check for new messages every' option to something like 1 minute and also enable the 'send messages immediately when connected' option.

This should resolve the problem for you. If not, then try using the detect and repair option in the help menu in case something has gone amiss in the application.

hope this helps!!

I forgot to mention that even pressing Send/Receive before shutting down and restarting Outlook does not work.  I will try the Detect and Repair option and see if that helps.

hi there scottvin, sorry about the delay, I forgot about this question!!
did the detect and repair work? If not, then the users profile may be corrupt, so you would need to backup all the users favorites and my documents etc., then delete or rename the user's profile from the pc, then just get the user to log back on. Windows will configure a new profile automatically, although outlook may need to be reconfigured with the exchange connector settings, then it should work!
