Just today one of my servers started throwing dns error source DNSAPI error id 11160.  Looking at the event log it shows this:

The system failed to register pointer (PTR) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
with settings:

   Adapter Name : {8D640397-9FE7-4452-B295-4280F1CB3382}
   Host Name : swaspr06
   Adapter-specific Domain Suffix :
   DNS server list :
   Sent update to server :
   IP Address :

I find the 2nd line up from the bottom interesting.  Why would it send an update to  There is no dns setting anywhere I can find that points to that IP.
