This may occur when the client application to stop responding (hang).

Make sure you install the latest service packs for SQL Server to avoid this.

I have seen this occur after selecting alot of rows into Query Analyzer.

ewahner, make sure you also have all of your service packs applied. You shouldn't get this message for large queries.

Most likely you've lost network connection somehow? It also frequently a result of low bandwidth on your network, or very high traffic.

we are running sql server 2000 and we received that error msg when we run a script using Query Analyzer..
so i guess maybe it is because of our network issue..

actually I'm not the one who got this, my manager is. I doubt that he wanted to share the script....

I proposed him to installed SP2, but he worry that might cause the database to go down...
so I guess that I just tell him that it is the network problem, and not to worry, and try to live with the error? ;-)
