Active Directory database field names

Hi,

I'm trying to pull some data from active directory, but I can't figure out what the field names are that I'm looking for.  The person who originally set up our active directory is no longer with the company.  Specifically, I am looking for the field that holds our network logon (first initial, last name).  However, I will also need to find other fields, too.  Is there any way to view the active directory database in Access or some type of spreadsheet form?

Thanks in advance for any help.

use csvde -f filename.csv

this will export entire AD into a CSV file. This file can be opened in excel.

dpozega,

You might want to have a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/adschema/adschema/active_directory_schema.asp which lists all the standard AD fields, along with descriptions of what each does etc.

cheers
