highlighting java syntax in eclipse

Hi,
I have been using eclipse for a couple of months now and all has been great except the yellow syntax highlight is now gone. I do not know what I did not make it go away but when I select any text in my code it no longer highlights - any ideas why? Where do I turn this setting on and off?

Thanks,

waffe

All syntax colouring is defined in the preferences under Window.

;JOOP!
Syntax colouring: Window->Preferences->Java->Editor->Syntax coloring

Highlighting:  Window->Preferences->General->Editors->Text editors->Appearance color options.

Thanks - but I still can't seem to get it back - the function was any time I selected a word eclipse would highlight all the other words in yellow - where is that command at?

Thanks,
