crystal report issue..?

i was using crystal report 8.5, vb6.0, sql server 2000... for some maybe it sounds funny... i was using the stored procedure as the source of my report but it tooks a lot of time to generate the report... in short it is very slow...

... any idea on how can i make the report to generate more faster...

Do all reports generate slowly?

Speed of the report is based on many things.

Does the report have formulas?

Do you do any filtering?

How many records are returned?

Does the report have subreports?

why does when i am using the access the reports generates faster compared when i
was using SQL database?

Is the Access database on your machine?

no i was using SQL Server 2000 as my database....

not all reports... but some of the reports especially those which connected to stored procedure...

No.  Will the stored procedure return the records you need or does the report also filter the records?
