Wireless Network disconnected

Hello.  I have a Compaq Presario R3000T notebook which has an integrated wireless network -- Broadcom 802.11.  This works under Windows XP on the notebook, but not under Windows 2000.  Under Windows 2000, and using the latest Broadcom wireless network driver from the HP website, the network icon in the system tray shows a disconnected status.

I prefer the Windows 2000 operating system and would like to get that network running.

I found another driver which works with the Broadcom wireless utility, and the network now connects under Windows 2000.  Please delete this question.  Thank you.

Yes, for a Windows 2000 does not have WZC (Wireless Zero configuration) unlike the Windows XP, which take of the Wireless connectivity.

Hence you need to check for Wireless Utility provided by the manufacturer to handle this.
