Which monitor to get for both gaming and graphics editing?

I'm going to get a 19" flatscreen monitor, preferably Viewsonic.

I need one that has a fast response time for gaming but also will be good for photoshop graphics editing for both the web and for posters and other printables.

Any suggestions?

I have that.. it is 19" WIDE  and not diagnoal.. If you are using Photoshop, it is a GODSEND as you have more real estate displayed on the screen.

If you are using it for gaming.  that is a different story.  You'll have to weigh that out as the screen is either stretched or you deal with a 4:3 display.  Some of the newer games now have 600 x 800 resolution...but that is dependant on the product.

perhaps you want to think what application pays the bills and view it that way.
I'm using Viewsonic VX922, and personally i would give it 10/10 for gaming. There's no ghosting whatsoever and the brightness is sweet! lastly, the price premium is reasonable too.

For general usage, it's competant enough.

i would agree with d1v1ner regarding the output of the display....SUPERIOR to other on the market... I'm running 1680 x 1050...sweet...and readable.

side note....VIEWSONIC was making monitors for years, good stuff.
