Location of the Excluded list for McAfee port blocking

My Thunderbird email process sometimes shows up as thunderbird.exe, and other times as thunde~1.exe.  Tunderbird sometimes refuses to send mail because McAfee port blocking thinks that the email may be a worm.  I can manually add thunde~1.exe to the exclusions list, and  thunderbird.exe is there by default.  An update sometimes removes the thunde~1, and I have to re-enter it.  Is this list on the computer, or is the list replaced in the update?  If on the computer, where can I edit it  permanently?

    Accepted Solution

    Greetings, donno46 !
    >>s this list on the computer, or is the list replaced in the update?

If you mean by update to McAfee, yes, the list is replaced by update.  So you will have to edit your exclusion list after every update.

    Best wishes!

That's pretty much what I figured.  Any idea how to get through the  protective shield on their website to have their tech support have thunde~1.exe to the list? I have the enterprise edition supplied through the university, and there is no way to email them that I could find.

I thought McAfee Enterprise edition owners get special tech support?  You may be able to be able to get tech support from this webpage

Yeah, the University owns it, and us users can't get logged on, I guess that I'll have to brave the notice of the IT gods, and try my luck there - thanks.
