Running a formula during run time

I'm trying to create a function that can run a formula during runtime.

in the XML setup:

this means, if the user input "%IDEALWEIGHT-HIGH%" in his pre-formatted text, I will take the formula and parameter specified, perform the formula, and take the result to replace the string "%IDEALWEIGHT-HIGH%".

Can anyone advise how can I do this?
