Problem with catroot2 folder
Hi all,
I am having a problem on a windows 2003 server; windows update doesnot work anymore.
While troubleshooting i came accross several websites which advised to rename the catroot2 folder in system32.
I tried this several times, but problem is i cannot rename nor delete the folder (no access message, although i am administrator).
I am also unable to enter the folder.
tried to 1st stop the cryptographic service and then delete/rename the folder, but doens't work either.
BTW: the windows update error i get is 0x8007f0da ; i am almost sure this has to do with not being able to enter/rename/delete the catroot 2 folder.
Someone any tips ?
thanks in advance!
