Hi contec_dev,
----------

no idea, it looks to me you need to have a license for the controls not for office or are they interoperating?
how do you use the controls and what was your exact error message

Bruintje,

the error message : Failed to create control, license information for this component not found.

It is weird because i can use the listview control and combobox but no datagrid or adocontrol.

> license information for this component not found

thats a bit more info, are you using these components from VB or VBA or maybe something else
it only says that the components or their related dll's are not properly registered

if you say ADO controls i would download the latest MDAC from the microsoft site and install and see if that helps
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6C050FE3-C795-4B7D-B037-185D0506396C&displaylang=en
When i try to install these files on my windows xp professional, i get a message that mdac ado controls 2.8 not intended is for this machine
This machine had a clean install of win xp pro, the latest controls were installed, that's why, i guess, is that these controls won't install.
Cause:
The ActiveX control has been installed and properly registered, but has not been activated.  Generally there is some kind of design time license or activation that allows ActiveX controls to be created.  You are able to freely re-distribute runtime copies of these controls, but you must have purchased the appropriate license for development.

Solution:
Purchase and install the appropriate license from the ActiveX control vendor.
