Unable to initialize the voice player

Hello all,

In my company everyone reviews their voicemails through Outlook using Avaya Unified Messenger.

One user gets this strange error when trying to listen to a voicemail message:

"Unable to initialize the voice player. Not enough storage space is available to complete this operation. (0x8007000e)"

I've tried researching the answer to this problem but to no avail. Does anyone have a solution ? I need an answer fast.

Thank you

Is this Windows XP Service pack 2?

If so check to see if Windows Firewall is enabled, if it is, disable it or modify it as per your company policy.

If the firewall is not the issue, check to see if you are using version 1.1 or 2.x, if thats the case  download a security patch from Avaya:

ftp://ftp.avaya.com/incoming/Up1cku9/tsoweb/mm/MMClientTool_XP_SP2.msi

This problem is documented in:
http://support.avaya.com/japple/css/japple?temp.documentID=282102&temp.productID=162774&temp.bucketID=162024&PAGE=Document

Hope this helps

Most or all machines in our company should now be updated to SP4 since we conducted an extensive service pack rollup. Will the patch still work ?
