WAV file to text conversion software?

I'm looking for a good WAV file to text conversion software.  I don't need to voice-activate my computer, I just want to take files I've dictated into my Iriver (as mp3, which I can then convert to .wav) and then convert them to text.  I'm looking for something that I can train with my voice patterns, like Dragon Speaking, but for less money.  To do this with Dragon, you have to buy the Preferred edition for $200 and it comes with many features I'm not going to use.  I only want to do .wav to .txt conversion, but accurately, of course.

Anybody have experience with anything other than Dragon?
