Website not accessible from India... how to view?

There are some websites that are viewable from the US, but not viewable from other countries. How do I view one of these websites?

For example, the website www.netquote.com is accessible from the US. I haven't checked other countries, but I need to access it from India (for research purposes) and I can't.

Are there any ways around this?

One solution I thought of was to Remote Desktop from India to a PC in the US and access the site from the US-based PC, but I would prefer to not have to do that for security issues. What are some other options?

Thanks!

Use another provider in India....or your RDP solution.  Seems like there is content filtering or routing is not correct.

It has to be something to do with your local router config, or ISP screening, if there is no company or black box filetering your access, you can get to ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD ON TCP/IP.  SO this fact is invioable, therefore, you need to check if your local network or your ISP is blocking access, that is where the problem will be.

And there's a list.  So, just basically go down the list, plugging the values into your proxy connection settings for your browser (if you're unsure of how to do this, post which browser you're using) and one of them will likely do the trick.

On a related note, depending on why the site is being blocked (ie is it being blocked from india by india or is it being blocked by the server for another reason), it is still possible for your ISP to tell if you're attempting this.  As such, take caution in your attempts.  I'm not saying this is the case, just a precautionary note just in case.

Great tips... didn't realize you could do that through your browser. Thanks!
