Publishing from front page to server 2003

I have a server running small business server 2003. It is called broserver and the domain is brocomp.local. I am trying to publish www.brocomp.com and when I click publish site, it asks for the url and then asks for the userid and password. When I give it a userid and password, it comes back without publishing and the userid now reads www.brocomp.com/userid. I don't have userid's setup for the web pages, I host several on this server, so I don't have a userid for www.brocompsupplies.com and another for lynnbreaux.com. I lost my disk drive on my sbs 2000 server and have had the Microsoft Action pack for a while, so decided to bite the bullet and upgrade everything to 2003. I used to be pretty comfortable with sbs 2k, but I'm  brain dead right now and can't figure this out. Thanks in advance for any help. Lynn
