XML Includes in Windows vs. Unix

My XML schema includes another schema  by this line

<xs:include schemaLocation="../Types/General.xsd"/>

and it works fine on my windows machine.

But once i run it on the UNIX machine, it will not include the specified file unless i specify the full path... for instance /home/egb/Types/General.xsd

What is wrong here???

When invoked (in the unix case), is the _process_ in a _parallall "sibling" directory to the Types directory_? Probably not...
