How to detect a Button is clicked in

What I need to do is disable functionality within a particular subroutine if a certain button is clicked on the screen. I am thinking of setting a property of  a shared class or creating a global variable and setting it to true when the button is clicked. Can someone tell me the most efficient way of doing this?

    Accepted Solution

Instead of using a Command Button try to use the Radio Button

and change the Appearance property of the Radio Button to Button (By Default the appearance property of the Radio Buttion is set to Normal)
(Now it will look like a Command Button)

On evey click on this button it will maintain the checked status which u can easily fetch
