formating cells in excel with code

does anybody know how to format an entire columb of cells to a desired date format using tools with a windows application.

    Accepted Solution

    Once you have created a reference to the active worksheet all you need to do is

    myActiveWorksheet.Range("a:a").NumberFormat = "dd.mmm.yyyy"

    Range("a:a") selectes the whole of column A.
