I want to be able to search everything I typed whether in Text Edit or in Mail or in gMail or on some other web page. Therefore, I believe I want a keylogger, to be deployed against myself. There ought to be some system function that I could intercept and log data to some log file with rather little overhead, but I don't have a clue where to look or what to do  to  accomplish the deed.

This was actually brought to my attention by my having difficulty converting my free account into a premium account. I would like to be able to document EXACTLY what I did, which I guess involves mouse clicks as well as keystrokes. I can think of other uses, especially in training situations, even self training.
