NT Backup on Small Business Server 2003

Been backing up with a DAT 72 drive 40/80 GB
Backups have been running fine upto 50GB
Now that data that is getting backed up is over 50GB, backups do not seem to be completing
Any ideas

The tape will only take 40 GB of data; anything extra you manage to squeeze onto it is done by compression. It depends on how much the files can be compressed, how much you can actually fit on the tape. If the data contains a lot of ZIP's, EXE's, CAB's, JPG's, PDF's, you're not going to get much more compression. The "80" in the advertised capacity is extremely optimistic and doesn't reflect real-world capacity.
