How do you deselect a row in a DataGridView ?
when I populate the DataGridView, it always highlights the top row ...!!  and I can't get it to stop ..!

    did you try
    DataGridView1.Rows(0).Selected = False

    for datagrit it is
    'unselect previously selected row

    check if something like that exists fro datagridview
    otherwise use the  tolgaong  suggestion
