How do I do this with just  a single frame?  Not a frameset.

In a frame is loaded a nav bar with drop down menus. &nbsp;Apparently it is impossible to go across frames with these menus so they get hidden behind the lower frame in the frameset. &nbsp;With javascript how would I resize the window on the event that the mouse goes over a dropdown menu that extends beyond the frame. &nbsp;I can hard code it for only those menus whose lengths are too long or is there a genral way?
