I have implemented a Proxy Server which also monitors content to which users are browsing,  I have blocked quite a lot of stuff,  Porn Gambling etc etc…  The application I am using also allows me to stop users from downloads large files, and also exe files etc etc,

I have blocked .class files,

My question is ..  do .class files pose a risk to my internal security…  should I in experts opinion block these files….

Thanks experts..

Hi, not necessarely. .class is java files. Depending of the site visited, this can be dangerous or not (like any other file format for what matter.) .CLASS isn't a particulary dangerous file format.

I manage surfcontrol in a large corporate environment and we concentrate on sites categories to filter.

    hope this helps
