No email body text
Hi,
We have SBS 2003 and our users are suddenly unable to see any email body text through Outlook. This is happening to all users and only affects emails received before last night. This morning all emails appear to be fine.
There are no disk space issues, no plug-ins installed like PGP, and the server has been restarted. OWA does not display the body text either and if I save an email as a text file, it shows no body.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
Thanks!
Edit: Attachments can be viewed but are blank as well.

It has happened overnight, so I don't think it is to do with the scanning software. It appears to have happened to both internal and external mail.
Thanks!
Thanks!
any anti-virus updates installed last night?

The latest DAT is dated yesterday, it's McAfee Groupshield but I cannot tell when it was applied as the first user in cleared the Application log before restarting the server today. I have disabled the AV services and restarted the Exchange ones but no joy as yet.

Thanks, I've just tried that. The emails coming in as of this morning are fine, the body text is there but all previous emails have blank body text.
It appears as though something corrupted last night.

Hi,
This was indeed an AV issue. We still don't know what caused it but opened a ticket with MS and they determined it was AV but couldn't say why.
In the end we restored the store from backup into a recovery storage group, exmerged the mailboxes and exmerged them into the live mail store.
Thanks for the help.

if it is with external emails only then it could be an issue with the scanning software that you use to scan emails before they are delivered to the exchange server/users.
