Arcserve restore file sizes wrong and files corrupt

I have tried restoring files from a tape created in Arcserve 2000. I can identify a single file PICTURE.JPG which the arcserve database reports as 2.34MB. I have run the restore by seesion and arcserver reports that it has restored 2.34GB without error. However when I look at the restored file it has a size of 26kb. I have tried some of the options in Arcserve with rgard to restoring permissions and file versions but none of these seem to make any difference.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated as this data belongs to a senior manager and is extremely urgent.

We applied arcserve service packs SP3, SP4 & SP5 in sequence. This has resolved the problem
