Pictures not printed on word document

I have a really weird problem.  Maybe someone could help shed some light on it.

My task....
I am trying to print out badges.  I have a word template I downloaded that I will print onto an Avery label sheet.  I will use a HP Color Laserjet 2600N to print them.  The word template I downloaded has room for 8 labels (soon to be badges).  Each label (badge) has two pictures...one with our logo...the other is their face.  The total size with all the pictures for the whole word document is roughly 2.5MB.

My problem....
When I try to print out a sheet or labels (badges) for some reason only the top 2 badges on the template are printed with the face photo.  The other bottom 6 badges don't print out the face photo...only the logo and my barcode are printed.  If you do a print preview...all of the photo's are displayed.  It doesn't matter what printer you send the document to....they all have the same issue...where they only print 2 of the 8 face photos.  I tried sending the document to a pdf...and when I did that the pdf only included the 2 photos.  I made sure the formatting for the top 2 badges are identical to the other 6.  Oh by the way....once or twice when I printed the badges it printed properly with all the face photos...but it won't do it consistently.  Weird huh!

Anyone have any ideas?

here's few things you could try.
- increase the print spool size
- decrease the print resolution
- restart your printer
- add more memory to your printer

Those are good suggestions.  I tried decreasing the print resolution...but that didn't help.  I tried restarting the printer and that didn't help.

Forgive me but how do you increase the print spool size?  Is that a setting on the printer?  I didn't see anything in the hp color laserjet's web interfance.

in PRINTERS... right click on the printer,  choose PORTS.. then put a check mark to enable print spooling.

and if you haven't done so, you may want to power off the printer for 30 seconds and turn it back on.

Your thinking of 'printer pooling'.  Printer pooling is where you have one logical printer and multiple physical printers.  Printer spooling is something different.

let's see here on the template are you SURE the pictures are on top of the rest of the page so right click on the picture got to format picture and then go the the tab with the option to have the picture IN FRONT of text

"I tried sending the document to a pdf...and when I did that the pdf only included the 2 photos." - That sentence is very important. If outputting to a PDF drops the photos, the problem isn't in the 2600's printer driver, since even the PDF driver is having the same problem. There's no point in messing with the driver at all, since this is probably a problem in Word. Which version of Word are you using?

Is the template you're using available for download by anyone? If so, could you give us a link to the template to take a look at it?

Here's the link:

Does it have anything to do with print margins?  Cause the label template looks like it prints very close to the edge.
