split the boot log.

For reasons of my own I have a boot log that is growing in great sizes.  I need to increase the amount of times it is split.

How would I do that?  Also is there an easy way in linux to split a log file?

Thanks

I use webmin to organize these things. Appert from this special function, you can use it to administer most tasks in linux.

I used the commands in logrotate.  The boot.log settings were in logrotate.d, in a file called syslog.
