"Unable to open shim database version registry key - v2.0.50727.00000" on a win 2k3 server. any ideas?

here is the error....

permission problem?

as admin does it work?

i don't know what is causing the error.  it repeats hundreds of times a day. even when noone is logged on.

yes, the server is working, however the error is annoying and makes the error log difficult to see if anything real is going wrong.
So it says in that article I posted that the process running needs admin privlidges.  What app is running?  Does it have admin privledges?
