Dear Experts,

I have a game installed on Windows XP Media Desktop which is not working.
I have downloaded the most updated graphics drivers.

When starting the game I receive the following error:

The error dialog's caption states: "Fatal DX9 Error".

I believe the problem is occurred by DirectX but thats as far as I can trace it.

BTW: The game's name is: SpellForce2 Shadow Wars.

Please advice.

Thanks in advance!

Although a laptop's involved here, there is a reference to your 'error'.   See if this helps:

Sounds like the resolution is set to high in the game for your monitor to render.  Goto start run and type DxDiag let it goto through the motions click yes to the first question your screen will flash off and then on this is normal and see if it finds an error.  If not try turning down the resolution in the game.
