Sorry war1 for not returning a reply promptly. &nbsp;I have not had a chance to try your suggestion. &nbsp;The computer belongs to my father-inlaw. &nbsp;Will have a chance this weekend to try this fix. Thanks for the input, will let you know the outcome.

I booted into BIOS and I found no Wake on Modem feature. 

Checked the power management tab and the " allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" was already unselected. 

Went through and disabled the standy by and hybernation features.
