hi,

i am using server 2003..... i have full administrator privilages...
i would like to run through the proceedures to add a new user to the Terminal server..... i am fairly familiar with the server, but have not done this before.
i would know how to put the nesary icons for the new user on their desk top... but how do i get them into my system.

we use some of the user's name as a password, but we have the term server session denote the the first name of the user... so when we click on the start  it names the user.... I think this translates to the "profile".

any comments appreciated.

Hi intelogent,

are you running active directory? if so then you need to open active directory users and computers and create a new user in there.. add them to the remote desktop users group

if not, then right click my computer and select local users and groups, from there you right click in the users folder and create new user, assign them to the groups you want, then log off and logon with the new user

we are using active directory... so there is no need to go to control pannel?
currently, i see there is a " non-used"    user... Medford3.... i would like to use that one....how do i get it active, and assign a password to it...and allow it to sign on to my server...?

don't worry about control panel, use AD users and computers    is that where you see the user>

are you just using normal terminal services, where you have to enter the username and password the same as if you were logging into windows
