I am new to veritas.  I am trying to only select a few specific files to backup.  I install Veritas verrsion 10 evaluation version and when I create a new selection list, I can't find out where I can only select certain files?  What am I missing?

    Accepted Solution

I suspect you're looking in the left hand pane rather than the right hand one, the left hand pane does not show files. Either that or you're in Advanced mode which doesn't show files but requires you to type the name in, Or you're in text mode which is same as advanced and needs the filenames typed in.

Also if it is a remote server then you must install the remote agent. Otherwise when you browse to that server you will not see any files listed as BE will not know how to access the file system on that remote server.
