Pinnacle PCTV Pro pci board problem

I am using a Pinnacle PCTV Pro pci card in my P4 1.8GHz, 512MB Ram system. I can watch video with a TV tuner signal. However, I have problem with getting sound from this card.

The card seems to work well in every task but sound. I can scan TV channels and watch the video part of TV. I can record TV to a MPEG file. But the card gives no sound when watching TV video and does not record the sound track during TV recording.

I have connected a cable from the audio output of the PCTV card to the line-in/microphone input of my sound card. My sound card is functioning well but I still cannot get sound from the PCTV card.

Does anyone has the experience with this card that can share with me. What can I do further to fix the problem. Or where can I browse for further details for this problem.

     Thanks for any comment.

go to the advanced properties of the volume control. and make sure the line in is NOT muted and the volume input is raised so that there is some kind of signal.

         Thanks for your suggestion.

Since the TV signal comes from a cable TV company, I think that the TV signal may have been encoded someway so that my PCTV TV tuner cannot decode the signal properly and the TV tuner may be functioning correct.
