Business Slogan Ideas

Hi All,

I have started a new company, and am trying to figure out a slogan for it.

The company is    Block Networks (my name being Block, geddit?)

The primary services of the company are network security, spam prevention and network management/maintenance.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

thanks in advance

Not finding it easy to think of a slogan with 'Block' in it a lot. Do you want the name in a slogan - do you want it to be serious and to the point - what kind of impact do you want to make?

Unlocking your network's potential

Network headache relief

The cure for network blues.

Recommended by networks everywhere.

Secure it. Manage it. Block it

It doesn't necessarily have to have block in the slogan.  I dont want it to be whimsical, but it doesnt have to be boringly serious :)

I want to get to the point that I am trying to block spam and other outside elements, maybe something like;

Block Spam, Block Hackers, Block Networks.

Keeping the undesirables out?

I dont know, i am technical, not creative, my mind just goes to mush (no, that isnt another slogan attempt)

Support is just a Block away.
Unlock your Business with Block.

You could change the pronunciation of your company name, so that it is B-Lock.  Emphasise this with symbols of bees and locks.  Ok the Lounge will come up with other interpretations, and there's a risk there, but presumably you have managed to contend with this for your whole life.  At least the name will stick in people's minds, and that is important.

I think the most bizarre product name ever is Vimto.  How could a beverage company possibly survive calling their only product with an anagram of "vomit" I will never know.

PS People like to have fun with my name.  I suspect there are people out there who do research on likely buyers of products who then pass those names on to Telesales to drum up the actual business.  One day I received a call from someone whose opening gambit was "Good morning, can I speak with Mr Whorehouse please?"  (Then I could hear the Thought Cogs whirring away) "...Er, is that the correct name?"

"Support is just a Block away."

I like that one.

"Ok the Lounge will come up with other interpretations, and there's a risk there"
You said what I was thinking... I should've mentioned that.. lot's of "creative" talent there.. .go ask flavo or keneso

suggestions :
Put your problems on the block
let us un-block you !
get un-blocked for free (if you don't want to make money out of it)
if you want a complicated one : let your bLOCKs be un-bLOCKed by BLOCK.net.au

There is a reason I didnt post this in the lounge :)

I was thinking of calling the business cr@pshoot networks - with a name this bad WE MUST BE GOOD, but that has been done to death

unblocking sounds like removing me from the network, which isnt the idea i am going for.

Thanks guys!

How about something like this?

This isn't something you come across everyday :)

Here are a few of my suggestions, to me they may not be great but others may have a different opinion:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Enhancing computer performance."
"Sun-block for networking."
"Specialized computer management."
"Preventing future precautions."
"The Forestalling Network."
"Safety management service."
"Networking hoarder."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like I said, I'm not really good at things like this :D

Hope you like one of them - HF

Just kidding, but funny as hell.  I just dont know if that would be noticed to well here in Aus tho, we dont use the term that often.

I dont quite get AKNBJ, but it is early.

There were so many good ideas this morning, I will have to read through them all at work.  Thank you all for your input!

IF we were in the lounge, i was expecting you could 'say' AKNBJ - which would make it "Aching BJ" - which doesnt sound good :)

Agreed, ingenious, but a little too niche for me (especially considering I didnt get it :))

Thanks very much for your help guys, I have compiled a short list of my favourites here, but have made no firm decision as yet.

I hope that I split the points the way that I wanted to, there were so many of you that I am almost certain I left someone out.

If I did, feel free to post in the lounge and let me know so I can go there and get abused by you :)

Thanks again
