Can I install Windows XP to NEC Versa Note VX?

I need to arrange kind of demo with Windows XP Home (Chinese Simplified) and I try to see if I can install it to an old notebook, NEC Versa Note VX.

Here is the product overview
http://www.necsam.com/mobilesolutions/images/PDFs/VersaVX.pdf

Stock configuration = 64mb.....not enough RAM to run XP..well at least efficiently.  get the max 256mb

There are no supported XP files here for the Versa VX
http://support.necsam.com/downloads/search/default.htm?CIRestriction=539

That means you have to count on XP finding everything.  If not, then you are stuck.

The minimum requirements for windows xp is 64MB of memory.  If you bought to 128MB sodimms you'd be in good shape.  With respect to no supported drivers for XP you would have pretty good chances of windows xp detecting the devices since NEC supported drivers up to windows 2000

yes it is...but did you ever run XP with 64mb.....it slows to a crawl, and add on running a single application. That much memory on the system will let you open notepad and play solitaire.

Thanks for your advice.
I decide not to install the Windows XP to the NEC Versa Note VX.

Before closing this question, I would like to know if you have any advice for the following:

I shall consider installing the Windows XP (Simplified Chinese Character) to my NEC Versa Premium. The Versa Premium is already installed with Windows XP (Traditiona Chinese Character) by NEC. I know that Windows XP will detect the different of language platform. Can this be done without using any partitioning so that two Windows will be used on the same notebook?

if you want to have both Operating Systems...then you have to make a separate partition... You can do this easily with Partition Magic.  Here is more information on the product;
