Import subfolders from PST files to Exchange 2003
Hello,
I have to do a migration from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 but I have no connectivity
between the servers to use the Migration Wizard. I have exported the mailboxes with ExMerge
and now I want to restore them into Echnage 2003.
Some mailboxes have subfolders and EmMerge don't create those subfolders in Echange 2003.
This is also what MS says: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q281584
Any workaround?

Hello,
The export works fine. I have opened the pst file with Outlook 2003 and the subfolders are there, but the import procedure is my problem because the import won't create the subfolders in Exchange.

Found the problem: I was checking from a web application and the subfolders where not shown.
It seems that the problem is actually another one: on the old server the folder is named INBOX while
on the new one Inbox.
Now on the new folder I have a folder Inbox and anotherone INBOX. How can I rename INBOX to Inbox?

Are you asking in outlook?
If it is so right click on inbox and rename.

No, the 2 folders INBOX and Inbox are in Exchange.
You will have to move the contents. Inbox is a system folder and as such you cannot do much with it.

I made a confution: the name of the folder is INBOX, but the subscribed folder is Inbox and I had also subscriptions for INBOX/subfolder and this is why there where not seen.
LIST:
INBOX
INBOX\Folder1
INBOX\Folder2
LSUB:
Inbox
INBOX\Folder1
INBOX\Folder2
changed LSUB with UNSUBSCRIBE and SUBSCRIBE commands to:
Inbox
Inbox\Folder1
Inbox\Folder2
It works fine now.

The latest version of exmerge exports the entire contents of the mailbox - subfolders as well.
