Domain Transfer

I have a windows 2000 server hosting my *****.local domain with a 10.10.1.*/24 IP Scheme.  I purchased a new Dell server running Windows Server 2003 and would like to host the *****.local domain with a 10.10.2.*/24 IP Scheme.  I have been told that I can use the ADMT from Microsoft, but I can't figure out how to do it.  I need VERY specific instructions.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This describes how to configure the ADMT for migration.
before setting up ADMT there should be a trust setup between the two domains.

http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/Library/7929b0c4-efe1-409c-99e3-efe9815f426d1033.mspx?mfr=true

for the trust to work there should be name resolution enabled which can be achieved through,

1. Wins
2. edit LMhost with entries for the trusted or trusting domain.

3. DNS with secondary zones for the trusted domain (either domain) and enable zone transfer so that each domain has the read only copy of the other domains DNS zone.

once name resolution works the trust can be setup.
then you can setup admt and migrate over.
