Norton Firewall Blocks Outlook 2003 Email after implmeneting Active Sync with Pocket PC

Hello -

I am running Outlook 2003 SP2 Professional

I purchased a Cingular Pocket PC 8125 running Windows Mobile 5.0.

I have installed Active Sync - and I did not include email in the sync (I dont want email)

Everything loaded fine - but now my email no longer sends/receives on the laptop - it tries but nothing downloads.  I checked my email via explorer and there is email to download, and when I send an email it never leaves my outbox.  

I turned off the Norton Personal Firewall and now it sends and receives fine.  

I have no idea what those personal firewall setting mean - I went to general and I can see many things are blocked but I have no idea what any of these are.

See if outlook is listed under blocked items. If it is, remove it and add it to the safe items. There is a free troubleshooter at www.symantec.com which will help. You can opt for the auto system check or manually key in the symptoms. Its very helpful.
