Norton Firewall Blocks Outlook 2003 Email after implmeneting Active Sync with Pocket PC

Hello -

I am running Outlook 2003 SP2 Professional

I purchased a Cingular Pocket PC 8125 running Windows Mobile 5.0.

I have installed Active Sync - and I did not include email in the sync (I dont want email)

Everything loaded fine - but now my email no longer sends/receives on the laptop - it tries but nothing downloads.  I checked my email via explorer and there is email to download, and when I send an email it never leaves my outbox.  

I turned off the Norton Personal Firewall and now it sends and receives fine.  

I have no idea what those personal firewall setting mean - I went to general and I can see many things are blocked but I have no idea what any of these are.

Who is Participating?
See if outlook is listed under blocked items. If it is, remove it and add it to the safe items. There is a free troubleshooter at which will help. You can opt for the auto system check or manually key in the symptoms. Its very helpful.
