Trouble getting ASP.NET 2.0 version to work on 2003 server

I uploaded our ASP.NET pages to the web.  And, got error in the web application.  The error makes little or no sense.  And, noticing at bottom of the error page it says "Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:1.1.4322.2300; ASP.NET Version:1.1.4322.2300".  Appearly, I'm using ASP.NET 1.1 and the program was developed by Visual Studio 2005.

Anyone know how to turn on the ASP.NET 2.0?  Or, how to verify if ASP.NET 2.0 is installed on the Microsoft Server 2003 software.  I know one thing for sure I have IIS 6.0 but other than that I'm clueless...

Please help...

Thank you,

If you go into IIS and bring up the properties for the Application, there should be an ASP.NET tab (if .Net is registered with IIS) that will allow you to switch to 2.0 instead.

If .Net 2.0 is not registered with IIS then you need to run regiis_aspnet -i from the 2.0 framework folder.

I went into the framework area... finally noticed did not have ASP.NET 2.0 in there.  So, I'm thinking I need to update our Web server to get that installed?  Or, do I need to download something?

If you go to:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en, this will allow you do download and install the .Net framework v2.0. Once this is installed you will probably have to restart the server. At this time you can do what carl_tawn suggested by going into IIS and changing the .Net framework version.

Installing framework 2.0 by itself won't register it with IIS. So, after you install it you will need to run regiis_aspnet to get it registered with IIS.
